自分の意見としては、ジェット・リーほどのスターはいないと思う。たとえ「ブラックダイアモンド」が偉大な映画で無いということがあっても、リーの存在感はまずまずに作られてあった。小人をぶちのめしていたのにも心が痛まなかった。それなのでジェット・リーのための新しい映画があるというニュースが来ると、その日が明るくなる。（しかし・・グリーンホーネットに契約したというのだったらいいのにね〜〜）
Ｌａｂｏｒ Ｄａｙは無敵の麻薬王の息子を起訴することを任命された地方検事補についての映画（Hollow Manのような無敵ではなくパブロの無敵のような）。息子を起訴するその地方検事へのお返しに、麻薬王は検事補の妊娠中の奥さんを誘拐する。（Labor Dayに？）妻を取り戻そうととことん奮闘し、補佐官は妻のかつてのボーイフレンドを探し出す。彼は偶然にもこの中国ギャングと親密なつながりを持つことになる。ああ、その元カレはいまだ検事補の妻に恋をしているから積極的によりを戻そうとするだろう。リーは妊婦を守るのだろう。
映画はTattoo でハリウッドでも注目を得たRobert Schwenkeが監督する予定。彼はまた今年の終りに公開のThe Family Jewelsがある。 Schwenke
は「Ｌａｂｅｒ Ｄａｙ」のあとに Man With the Football, を続ける。意味不明な暗号の運び屋の話で、彼はミサイルの暗号をアメリカのよくわからない兵器のために運び、大統領と共に何処へでも旅をするのだ。

For my money, there isn't a better star out there that Jet Li. Even Cradle 2 The Grave, arguably not a great movie, was made palatable by Li's presence. Beating up the midget didn't hurt either. So when news that Jet has a new film being constructed for him comes down, it brightens the day. (Now if they could just sign him for the upcoming Green Hornet movie...)
Labor Day is a film about an assistant district attorney who is assigned to put away the son of an invisible drug lord. (Not Hollow Man invisible, more like Pablo invisible.) In return for the ADA prosecuting his son, the drug lord takes the ADA's pregnant wife hostage. (Get it? Labor Day? Do ya?) In a last-ditch effort to get his wife back, the ADA seeks out his wife's ex-boyfriend, who happens to have very close ties to the Chinese mob. Oh, and the ex is still in love with the ADA's wife, and will actively try to win her back. Li will play the pregnant wife.
The film will be directed by Robert Schwenke, who's big-time debut, Tattoo, garnered the Hollywood attention. He also has The Family Jewels coming out later this year. Schwenke will be following up Labor Day with Man With the Football, about the nuclear codes transporter, who carries the launch codes for the U.S. nuclear arsenal and travels everywhere with the President.

ディズニーは「 Labor Day 」というジェット・リーが見せ場とされるアクション映画を始めた。今年の後期に Robert Schwentkeによって指揮されるだろう。SchwentkeはコロンビアのドラマMan With the Footballが続くのも希望している。
Lauren Shuler Donner と Richard Donner がこの「 Labor Day 」を Steve Chasman とMike Aguilarと共にプロデュースすることになるだろう。Ethan Reiff と Cyrus Voris がJack Olsen の手直しを受けながらオリジナルを書いた。 Schwentke と Mitch Brian もまた新たな草稿を書くだろう。
ストーリーは、野望を抱く地方検事補が、捕まえにくい犯罪王の息子を起訴するという出世をする。その地方検事補の妻が犯罪王によって誘拐された時、検事補は妻のもとボーイフレンドに助けを頼む。中国人ギャングのジェット・リーだ。これは検事補にとってリスキーなことだ。この新しい同盟が法を犯す側とのものであるばかりでなく、そのギャングはまだ彼の妻に恋をしていて、彼女の命を救うことでよりが戻らないかと思っているのだ。
Jet Li Starring in Schwentke's Labor Day

Disney has set up the action film Labor Day as a starring vehicle for Jet Li, to be helmed by Robert Schwentke later this year. Schwentke then hopes to follow with the Columbia-based drama Man With the Football.
Lauren Shuler Donner and Richard Donner will produce "Day" with Steve Chasman and Mike Aguilar. Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris wrote the original, with Jack Olsen doing a rewrite. Schwentke and Mitch Brian will do another draft.
In the story, an ambitious assistant DA gets the career-making job of prosecuting the son of an elusive crime lord. When the DA's pregnant wife is taken hostage by the crime lord, the prosecutor asks for help from his wife's ex-boyfriend, a Chinese gangster (Li). This is risky not only because the DA's new ally is on the wrong side of the law, but also because the gangster still loves the wife and thinks that saving her life might help win her back.

先日 Lauren Shuler Donner と次回作について話していたら、こんなプロジェクトを教えてくれた。どうもジェット・リーが出演しそうだ。彼は次に「HERO」が公開され、その後はモーガンフリーマンと共演の「ダニーザドッグ」（リュックベッソン監督）があるが、遅かれ早かれ出演するだろう。
Lauren Shuler Donner：私は ジェット・リーとのディズニーによる"Labor Day"（労働祭？）が楽しみ。ちょうど Robert Schwentke監督に決まったところ。彼はドイツ人の監督で "Tattoo."というすてきな映画を作ったわ。
S.J.R.:ストーリーは?
Donner: : 地方検事補(ASSISTANT D.A)についての話。彼は野心家で、マフィアのボスに立ち向かう。彼はやめさせて法に従わせようとマフィアの息子を追跡。それでマフィアは彼の妻を誘拐する。そこで、その地方検事補は妻の元ボーイフレンドの所へ行かなければならなくなり・・その元ボーイフレンドが偶然にもジェット・リー。彼も参加して助ける。さて、この二人・・同じ女性に恋している二人・・は愛のために女性を救おうとしている。
S.J.R.: もうひとりの男は誰が演じるの？
Donner: まだ。Schwentke に参加してもらったばかり。この草稿にはすぐOKしているわ。

So, I was talking to Lauren Shuler Donner the other day about her upcoming projects and she mentioned this project, which it looks like Jet Li will be doing sooner than later, though it'll be released after his next upcoming projects, "Hero" and the Luc Besson-produced "Danny the Dog" opposite Morgan Freeman.
Lauren Shuler Donner: We have "Labor Day" with Jet Li at Disney, which we just put a director on – Robert Schwentke. He's a German director. He directed a film called "Tattoo." It's a fantastic film.
S.J.R.: What's the story?
Donner: It's about an assistant D.A. who is very ambitious who goes up
against the head of mafia who wants to stop and go legit and he goes after the mafia guy's son, so the mafia guy kidnaps his wife. Now the assistant D.A. has to go to his wife's old boyfriend, who happens to be Jet Li, to come in and help. Now these two men – who are in love with the same woman – are trying to rescue the woman for her love.
S.J.R.: Who's playing the other guy?
Donner: Nobody yet. We just brought in Schwentke and we're doing a quick pass on the script.
