I'm glad that you visited my home page.  Thank you very much.

First, let me explain the purpose of this page.  My web page is to help Japanese people who wish to learn English.  I believe that the best way to learn English is by making friends on the net with people who speak English as their native language.
As Japanese speaking people, we may also be able to help others with the Japanese language and our culture.

If you are interested in making friends with Japanese people for an exchange of language and culture, then please sign my guest book.  You may also look at the messages from Japanese people who have signed my guest book before.  If you find someone interesting, please contact them using their email address.
I have an identical page to this one in written in Japanese at a well-known site in Japan.  I believe that many Japanese people will visit that page and sign my guest book in order to find English-speaking friends.

My Japanese page tries to show how Japanese-speaking people can find English-speaking people to correspond with or speak to through the Net.  In making this contact, we can both develop better English and Japanese language skills and have an important cultural exchange.  It is difficult to make contact with English speaking people in Japan especially outside of the major cities. That is why I would like to recommend that we use Internet services like "IRC"or "Microsoft Chat".  It is easy to find someone at any time on these chat channels who speaks English fluently or may wish to learn Japanese.

If you want to be better in speaking or writing English, or if you just enjoy chatting with Japanese and English speaking people, you will find many people on the channel "#japan".

If you want to "talk" with these people, "Microsoft Net Meeting", I believe, is the best. I think you should try it.

Why did I call this page "Hello World"?  My Japanese pages show not only "How to learn English" but also "How to learn ANOTHER language" (other than Japanese).  But now, I can't follow up on any other languages because of such things as time restrictions and my lack of skill (I can only speak poor English) [The last person to edit this page was a British native - ED].  I would like to support other languages if possible.
