

According to THE BEATLES.COM, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music just released the original Beatles catalogue, which has been digitally re-mastered for the first time, for worldwide CD release on today, September 9, 2009, the same date as the release of the widely anticipated "The Beatles: Rock Band" video game. Each of the CDs is packaged with replicated original UK album art, including expanded booklets containing original and newly written liner notes and rare photos. For a limited period, each CD is also embedded with a brief documentary film about the album. Today, two new Beatles boxed CD collections have also been released.
According to THE BEATLES.COM, George Harrison's first-ever career-spanning solo hits collection, "Let It Roll: Songs by George Harrison," was released in the US on June 16, 2009. The CD version includes a 28-page booklet featuring previously unseen and rare photos, and newly-written liner notes by Warren Zanes. iTunes exclusively offers the digital album with a previously unreleased bonus track, George's earliest demo version of "Isn't It A Pity." The collection's 19 tracks have been digitally remastered by Giles Martin at EMI's Abbey Road Studios. The tracklisting is as follows:

According to THE BEATLES.COM, Ringo Starr's "Ringo 5.1 The Surround Sound Collection" was nominated for the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards in the category of Best Surround Sound Album.
According to THE BEATLES.COM, Apple Corps Ltd./Cirque du Soleil released the feature-length documentary DVD "All Together Now" on October 20, which was marketed and distributed worldwide by EMI Music.
The Beatles' "Love" album won two Grammys at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in the categories of "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" and "Best Surround Sound Album."
Ringo Starr's new studio album, "Liverpool 8," his first new album with Capitol/EMI since 1974's "Goodnight Vienna," was released on CD, USB wristband and digitally on January 15 (January 14 internationally). The tracklisting is as follows:

Two songs from "Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur" album ("Instant Karma" by U2 and "Working Class Hero" by Green Day) were also nominated for "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals." The soundtrack to the new Beatles-inspired film, "Across The Universe," was also nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" category.
