世界の様子 Environment

ゴンドワナ大陸が分裂をし始めた。
引き続き現在より温暖な気候だったため極地方にも氷河はなく
海の水位は世界中で高かった。

Gondwana had begun to separate.
Because the climate was warmer than it is today, there were no polar
ice caps and the sea levels were higher all over the world.

生物 Life

温暖で降水量も多く湿度が高いため、動物、植物とも種類が増え大型化していった。
植物ではイチョウやソテツなどの裸子植物が繁栄し、はじめて被子植物が現れたのはこの頃。
海ではアンモナイトやプランクトンが繁栄し、地上では恐竜が多種多様な進化を
遂げた。また 始祖鳥が現れたのもこの時代である。

The climate of hot and humid with rain allowed plants and animals
to increase in variety and to grow bigger.
The gymnosperms (Gymnospermae) such as Ginkgo or Cycads flourished and
the angiosperms first appeared during this period.
Ammonites and Plankton flourished in the sea and Dinosaurs evolved
into many sizes and shapes on the land.
Also, Archaeopteryx appeared first during this period.
